In order to conduct research at the ELC, you must first successfully apply to become a Research Fellow of the Center. There are three types of Fellow status - Full, Associate, and Visiting - but a common application is used to apply for all three. Applications are reviewed by the six-member Research Subcommittee. Full Research Fellows
All University of Delaware, full-time faculty and staff are eligible to apply for Full Research Fellow status, provided they meet the standards for Principal Investigator designation as set by the Office of the Vice Provost for Research. Research Fellow status is awarded for the period of time that research funding for a specific study at the ELC is in effect. Funding for research activities may include:
All University of Delaware part-time faculty, graduate students, and post-doctoral researchers may apply for Associate Fellow Status. The cost of an Associate Fellow's research activities must be borne solely by the investigator(s), and Fellows must be actively pursuing funding for their research activities.
Any individual who is a member of an academic department at another institution of higher education may apply for Visiting Research Fellow Status. However, in order to submit a research project proposal, Visiting Fellows must have an ELC Fellow of either Full or Associate as a collaborator.

Provided you meet eligibility guidelines, your application will be reviewed by the six-member Research Subcommittee, and a reply will be sent to you via email as quickly as possible.
